The games will teach them defeat is possible and also get to enjoy victory too. When you play with them, teach them to be fair and not to cheat. This will also teach them the values of sharing when they play together.

If you are on a budget then you can also make indoor play equipment at home. These can simply be charts and decorative that you can use to create any environment that your kids will love. This will save you lots of cash as well as provide your kids with enjoyable play equipment.Overall, just make sure the equipment whether you buy or make it, is a hundred percent safe and your kids enjoy playing with it. Why install Recycled Rubber Mulch?

Kids like to explore different play sets and run freely on the playground. This raises the risk of getting injured on the rough surface of the park. To prevent this, you can cover the playground with recycled rubber mulch. It provides proper cushioning surface and reduce the risk of probable injuries to kids.

Post consumer material like cycle tubes, rubber pipes, van tires and other rubber products get recycled to produce recycled rubber mulch for the playground. In this recycling process, all the imperfections and other impurities are completely removed to obtain high quality rubber. Further, it gets de-vulcanized and shredded to acquire mulch.

Recycled mulch has an added advantage over regular playground surfacing options. It is durable and impact resistant in nature. Moreover, it has high absorbing tendency and can easily absorb the moisture up to any amount, providing non-slippery surface to kids. The life expectancy of recycled rubber mulch is twice as long as regular playground surfaces.

This mulch is totally bacteria free and does not allow the growth of weed as well as spread of rodent on the surface. All you need is mild soap and water to clean the recycled rubber mulch. As it is eco-friendly, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the United States also supports the recycled rubber mulch. It is totally bacteria free and prevents the growth of weed & spread of rodent on the playground surface.

You must install the rubber mulch beneath kids dome climber and see saw as such equipment has greater risk of falling to the ground.

Tips for Buying Indoor Playground Equipment

Here is something for people who are not able to find the right play set for their backyard. No doubt, selecting the one for kids becomes quite a challenging job. Factoring the following factors would let you narrow down your choice on equipment appropriate for your yard.

The first thing you should do is to measure the area where you will locate the play set. By this, you will get an idea which equipment would fit perfectly in the yard. Make sure you leave adequate space between the two equipment for the kids to run around.

Consider to purchase the equipment from International Play Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA) certified manufacturer. This states that he deals in distributing superior quality playground equipment to the customers.

Before you purchase the equipment ensure that it is made of high grade material and is designed in adherence with the guidelines defined by American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Most Important thing for a Playground

Most playgrounds have a metal dome climber, because they are inexpensive to build and are great for children. They are able to support multiple children due to their design. As many as ten kids if not more can play on one at any given time!

Children will rarely get tired of a metal dome climber, because there are so many games to play while on it. If they're not in the mood for games they'll still be able to relax on it.

Children will build muscle and coordination without even realizing that they're exercising. Playing on a playground is a much better alternative than sitting at home and playing videos or watching television. Obesity is becoming a worldwide problem; experts have even predicted that by 2030 more than half of Americans will be obese! By giving children a fun way to stay active and healthy, they'll live longer and feel better about themselves.

However it is important to consider a few things before buying a metal dome climber or any other equipment for that matter. Safety is number one among those. Always make sure that the equipment is made of sturdy and reliable material.

Safety of kids in the playground has always been the matter of concern for the parents. Do you also get worried about your children while they are playing outside? Here are certain things you must check in the playground to be sure of your kids' safety.

There are different types of playground equipment made of plastic, wood and metal installed in the park. Before you allow your children to play on any of the play sets, ensure that it is made of guidelines defined by International Playground Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA) and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). Consider there should not be any rough surface or pointy edges in the equipment that can severely harm the kids.

The surface under and around the playground equipment should be covered with finest quality mulch like rubber mulch, pea gravel, engineered wood fiber wooden mulch and rubber mats. These provide proper cushioning to the surface and prevent the injuries from falls. Therefore, you should ensure the playground in which you are take the kids must be installed with superior quality mulch.

Do not allow your kids to get dressed in loose outfits for the playground. New York State Department of Health has also advised that these outfits should be strictly prohibited in the park as these can get stuck in metal, wood or plastic playground equipment and may cause injury to children. Also, make your kids wear sneakers with rubber soles instead of sandals or flip-flops in the playground.

Kids are fond of playground. Playing with other children on play sets not is only fun but also beneficial for them. But playground also brings the risk of getting injured along with the enjoyment. Here are certain things that you must take care of to avoid serious injuries to kids.

Supervise

Children usually cross the safety line in trying out their imaginations on the commercial playground equipment. Hence, you should keep an eye on your kid while he or she is playing with other children on the play sets to prevent them from getting involved in unsafe activities.

Age Appropriate

Not all play sets are made for every kid. Different factors like height and complexity are determined in the equipment after considering the age brackets. Also, National Program for Playground Safety has made it mandatory to build a separate location for equipment geared toward young children and older children. Ensure that your kid is playing on age-appropriate playground equipment.

Clothing

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has stated that loose clothing or clothing with drawstrings face may catch on commercial playground equipment and result into serious injury to kids. Hence, you should avoid bringing your kids dressed in loose clothing or clothing with drawstrings face to the playground.

Surfaces

You might be aware of the fact more than 60% of the playground injuries are due to falls from commercial play equipment. Ensure that highly quality rubber mulch is installed under and around play sets to provide cushioning surface to kids.

Why Buy Recycled Benches?

If you are planning to install some high quality benches in your playground or community park then we advise you to go for recycled outdoor benches. These certainly have an edge over regular benches that are constructed using wood, steel and aluminum.

Recycled benches are constructed using post-consumer material that includes waste plastic water bottles, plastic milk jugs and the like. These are compounded with permanent UV-stabilized colors and do not need to be resurfaced, painted, waterproofed and stained. Also, these have high moisture absorbing tendency and are considered more strong & durable than regular benches.

Recycled plastic benches are light in weight and can be easily moved from one place to another in park. Unlike regular benches made of aluminum, metal or wood, these do not crack, splinter or rust after a period of time. Moreover, these have weather resistant property; therefore, can easily withstand harsh climatic conditions. Manufacturers create the recycled benches in a wide variety of colors and designs. You can choose the one which can completely gel in the entire look of your park.

Before you buy one, ensure that manufacturer has designed it as per guidelines defined by American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). To know further about recycled outdoor benches, you can contact AAA State of Play.

Why Install Recycled Rubber Mulch in Playground?

To ensure kids' safety, playground owners must install superior quality recycled rubber mulch under the play sets. Well placed mulch provides a safe environment in the playground and prevents the risk of probable injuries from falling to kids.

Recycled rubber mulch is formed after recycling a large chunk of old rubber materials like cycle tubes, van tiers, rubber pipes and many others. In the recycling process, all the impurities and imperfections are cleared to obtain high quality rubber. It is then de-vulcanized and shredded to obtain finest quality playground mulch.

It has an expected life term of approx. 20 to 25 years and is considered extremely durable. It is impact resistant and has high absorbing tendency as it soaks water quickly, providing non-slippery & dry surface to kids. Moreover, it inhibits the growth of weed & spread of rodent in and around the playground surface. Recycled rubber mulch is less prone to insect infestation and eliminates bacterial growth. It can be cleaned with mild soap and water easily & quickly. By placing the recycled rubber mulch under playground structure, you are ensuring safety for your kids.

Recycled rubber mulch is certainly a friendly choice. As this durable and safe playground surface also provides clean and attractive look to the area, you can install it in your garden.

All You Wanted to Know About Engineered Wood Fiber Playground Surface

Covering the backyard playground with high quality mulch is a great way to provide safe play area to your kids. There are different types of playground surfacing options like rubber mulch, pea gravel, sand, rubber mats, etc. One such mulch is Engineered Wood Fiber, which is rated as the most common and economical playground surface.

It is created from non-toxic, engineered, crushed wood fiber, like hardwoods or softwoods. The Wood Fiber mulch consists of randomly sized wood fibers with the average size of 1.5"-3" in length and contains 10%-20% of fine pieces to help in compaction. Once the mulch is properly settled, it creates a knitted & compacted layer on the surface of the playground.

This initial cost of this playground mulch is comparatively lower than any other surfacing option. Moreover, it does not utilize any wood containing paint, chemicals or additives. This mulch has less or no bark and is tested to be free of leaf debris, twigs and other organic materials. It not only prevents injury due to falls but also provides a natural look to the playground.

Ensure that the Engineered Wood Fiber mulch you are opting for is compliant to American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) F1951 and F1292-99 (impact attenuation). It should also meet American with Disabilities Act (ADA) as well as Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) playground surfacing standards and has to be International Playground Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA) Certified.

Guide for Creating Playground

If you are finding it hard to design the playground of your community, here is something for you. The right plan is all that is required to create a fun-filled playground. Before you put your thoughts into action, here are certain things that you should think upon.

It has become mandatory to make a playground in adherence with American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards. Therefore, you must form the layout of your playground in a way that people with special abilities can enter in the premises without facing any problem.

The next thing you should think about is the play sets you are going to install in your playground. Decide how much you want to spend on them and start searching for the sets and play houses that are a hit in the playground. You can buy these either from the playground equipment store or order online. Whatever option you choose, make sure you deal with an IPEMA certified manufacturer who constructs play sets using commercial grade raw materials. Whether you are buying a playground swing, slide or play house, ensure that he manufactures the play sets in adherence with American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Play sets are designed as per the age brackets of kids. It would be wise if you label the equipment in your park to avoid the risk of injury to kids. For labeling the equipment you can use fences and signage so that guardians can understand which play set is appropriate for their kids.

Tips for Making Safe Playground for Kids

Kids love playing in the playground. It becomes really a challenge to control them when they are just a few steps away from interesting and fun-filled playground equipment. Here are some things that owners must follow to ensure kids' safety on the playground.

Make sure the play sets that you are installing in the playground are made of superior quality material be it wood, aluminum and metal. Ensure that manufacture has constructed the equipment as per the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) guidelines and took all the safety measures into consideration while designing it.

As play sets are made for both toddlers and school goers, therefore, it would be great if you categorize them in the playground with labels and signage. This would help the parents to easily understand which play equipment is appropriate for their children. To avoid the risk of injury due to falls, you should cover the ground under the play sets with superior quality surfacing option like synthetic surface, pea gravel or recycled rubber mulch.

Another step that you can take to make your playground safe for the kids is the thorough inspection of the play sets installed in it. Check if there is any open edge in the play set that can harm the kids. If you find any defect, immediately get it repaired or replace it with the new children playground equipment.

Benefits of Recycled Rubber Mulch

It's great that you are going to turn your backyard into private playground equipment for kids. In this manner, you are also assured about your kids' safety when seeing them playing before your eyes. But before you select any exciting great and fun filled play set for the backyard, you must cover the surface with high quality mulch.

Recycled rubber mulch is the great option, when it comes to cover the backyard playground. It provides cushion surface and reduces the risk of any injury due to falling. Recycled rubber mulch is created after recycling consumed rubber products like van tires, cycle tubes, rubber pipes etc. During recycling process, all the impurities present in consumed rubber products are completely eliminated. The rubber obtained after the process, is shredded and de-vulcanized to acquire recycled rubber mulch.

Environment friendly recycled rubber mulch is extremely durable. Unlike other playground mulch, it sticks to the ground for years on end. As this mulch has high absorbing tendency, it soaks the water quickly and provides non-slippery & dry surface to kids.

This playground safety surfacing prevents the growth of weed underneath the surface. Besides, you can easily clean the mulch with mild soap and water. Knowing the fact that it has longer life than any other mulch, many parents prefer to install recycled mulch in their backyard. Before you choose the one for your backyard, ensure that it is ADA compliant and IPEMA certified.

Creative Ideas for Playing in the Sandbox

Sandbox is undoubtedly one of the most popular playing areas for kids in the backyard, church, school or daycare playgrounds. Parents, teachers or care givers always set up certain rules regarding play time in the sandbox, which usually include: not throwing the sand around, keeping the toys back in there and most importantly, washing off immediately after coming out of the sandbox. These rules are all fine, but have you ever considered making some rules which will make sandbox more fun?

Yes, you can make the time spent in sandbox even more fun and allow for creative learning as well. Here are some ideas that are easy to implement and make for creative play:
  • Water: Simply add some water to the sand. In fact you can have the kids do it and you will see how much fun they will have creating sand castles and other figures from the wet sand.
  • Treasure Hunts: You can take small toys or animal figurines and hide them in the sand. Give the kids an idea of what all they can find buried in the sand and announce a prize for the kid to unearth the maximum number of toys. See them go wild at digging for each prized animal!
  • Create scenery: Tell them to make a river using tin foil shaped like a tube and take them through the entire process of digging a trench and placing the tube shaped foils in it and then filling the tube with water to make the river flow!
You can help them dig faster by getting them a sand digger and allowing them to be creative while at play.

Guide for Creating a Playground

Creating a playground is certainly not a child's play. But if you take the right path and implement right actions, you would definitely be able to create a wonderful park for kids. Here are certain things you should think upon before designing the playground.

The prime motive of building a playground is to provide unlimited fun to kids. For this, you need to install different types of play sets in the playground. Decide how much you want to spend on it and start searching for playground equipment, especially built for commercial use. While surfing the internet, you will find various stores selling a wide variety of play sets such as dome climbers, slides, see-saws, slides, swing set, play houses and the like. Before selecting any attractive play equipment, make sure these are designed using finest quality raw materials.

Toddlers and school goers cannot play on same playground equipment as certain provisions like height, complexity etc. are taken into consideration while designing play sets for them. It is your job to label the equipment you install in the playground, whether it is a playhouse or a slide, to remove the scope of any unforeseen accident. You can guide people through signage or fences.

As per the recently adopted revision to American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards, you are now required to build an ADA compliant playground. Therefore, you must design the ground, which can be easily accessed by kids or parents with special abilities. Make sure you install ADA compliant slides, swings sets and see saws for children.

Building a Playground in a Day

Today I read a great article from Patch.com about a playground being built in one day at the DeKalb Academy of Technology and Environment Elementary and Middle charter schools in Georgia. A group of over 200 volunteers is coming together this Wednesday, August 29th, to build a playground for the D.A.T.E schools.

This project is part of a community partnership entitled Let's Play. With the help of Let's Play, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, and KaBOOM!, 528 playgrounds were either built or improved last year.

These types of organizations and projects are absolutely great for improving the health and activity level of children.

Check out the full article here! These organizations may be able to help in your area.

Tetherball.. Way Underrated!

I remember the first time I played tetherball. It was when I was in the 5th grade. At the time I was in 5th grade our school corporation was adding on to one of the two elementary schools. I had gone to one all my life and because of the construction, 5th grade was moved to the middle school. Because we were in the middle school, we used the playground of the school that was under construction. This was a new playground to me, since I had gone to the other elementary school.

I remember going out to recess and seeing the tetherball poles and having absolutely no idea what they were, or how you played the game. But once I learned how to play, I found out how much fun it was! A simple game of a ball on a string tied to the top of the pole kept us busy the entire time we were at recess. There was always a line to play and sometimes we waited the whole recess in that line just to take one turn.

Tetherball is definitely one of those underrated playground games, in my opinion. It is just a simple ball on a string, but it can be so much fun!

Check out our line of Tetherball and Funnelball games to add to your playground.. or even your backyard!!

How to select Backyard Playground Equipment?

It is always a great idea to turn your backyard into private playground for the kids, where they can climb, swing and play freely till the sun goes down. Though it sounds easy, but it becomes quite a challenging job for the parents to convert the backyard into playground for their kids. Before you put your thoughts into action, you need to pay attention on certain things.

There are different types of play equipment like slides, dome climber, swing sets and see saw that you can install in the backyard playground. Select the play sets after considering the availability of space in your backyard. Make sure there should be adequate space between the two play sets in the backyard.

The next thing that you should consider is the age of your child. If you have toddlers, you can choose to have plastic play sets, but these would not be the safe play sets for school goers. Wooden play sets are the best option for the old kids. These play sets are not only the safest but also provide unlimited fun to them. Usually parents prefer installing wood sets as these can also stand firmly in the backyard for years on end.

While selecting the indoor playground equipment, ensure that the manufacturer has designed it in accordance with American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) guidelines.

Sandboxes

One of my first outdoor play items was a sandbox. My dad made it for me and it was always a lot of fun to try and make sand castles with my brother. My dad and grandpa later added a playhouse on top of the sandbox and I felt like I had the coolest play set around.

I think the sandbox is a toy any kid will love. The imagination can take over and play can happen for hours. That is why I love our selection of sandboxes. Several sizes are available and we even offer sand accessories.
Diggables Fossil Jam

The 5x5 Sand Box Kit is one of our smaller sizes. Just add one of the Diggables, Fossil Jam or Raptor Rock to complete a fun afternoon in the sand.

Benefits of Playing Outside

Every kid loves playing in the playground but when he has a PSP in his hand, he would not flex his muscle to go out in the playground. PSPs are not bad for the kids but these are certainly not as beneficial as playing outside. Don't worry if you also have the kids that do want to move outside the home, deal with this situation by installing some playground equipment in your backyard and convert it to their own private playground. They will surely love this and start spending more time in backyard playground.

You can install different types of outdoor play equipment such as climber, swing sets, small play house, see saw and slides in the backyard. The equipment not only provides fun to your kids but also adds a lot to their growth years.

A recent survey has revealed that kids who play outside daily are more physically fit and active than those kids who stay indoors. Various skills like motor, mental, social, cognitive, social and communication skills of the kids get polished, while exploring different play sets with their friends.

Besides, you should also take care of kids' safety. You should install only that outdoor play equipment which is designed as per the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) guidelines. Besides, you can also cover up the backyard surface with the finest quality mulch. It would reduce the risk of any injury to your kid that occurs due to falling from the ground.

Back to School

A few posts ago I wrote about supplying your classroom with the things you need to make your classroom complete. Today being the 1st of August, "Back to School" is on most minds. Kids have mixed feelings of being excited, yet not wanting to give up summer freedom.

Value Line 2-Station Art Center
I'd like to feature a few more exciting classroom products as we lead up to the start of school. The Value Line 2-Station Art Center allows for creativity to really shine. The two sided center enables two children to draw at one time. The two shelves below the easels provide storage for art supplies.

Science Exploration Table
Another great classroom product is the Science Exploration Table. The center tub is removable, making it easy to clean. Included are two reflective, two magnetic, and two magnifying panels. Let kids explore the wonders of science with this great table.

As August progresses I will highlight other great school products to gear up for going back to school!

It's Time for the Olympics

I have to admit that I feel like a bit of a couch potato when the Olympics roll around. There are always events that I think to myself, "I just HAVE to watch that!" It doesn't matter if it's the Summer Games or the Winter Games, I love it all.

You can bet that tonight my TV will be tuned into the Opening Ceremonies and that I will watch all night until they are over! I am fortunate enough to work out of my home, so I won't have to worry about missing anything that I may want to see during the day time.

Because of all the "Olympic-sized" TV watching I will be doing during the duration of the Games, I am definitely going to need to take a few exercise breaks to make up for it. Maybe I will challenge my fiance to a race through the neighborhood and whoever wins won't have to cook dinner! Despite the insane amount of TV watching that occurs during the Olympics, you can also create fun ways to be active based on Olympic events!

I will definitely be needing to do that over the next few weeks!

Playground Smoking Bans?

I came across an article from the Irish Times about city councils moving to create smoking bans on playgrounds. Do you know of any places in the United States that have created a similar smoking ban? If not, is this something that should be done?

I think this is an interesting topic, especially with more and more cities creating large smoking bans over all. Should parks and playgrounds have a separate ban, even in a city that has not created a city-wide ban? Not only would children be prevented from breathing second hand smoke, but the environment would also be protected and there would be a less chance of cigarette butts being thrown on the ground.

Whether you are for or against the idea of a smoking ban for parks and playgrounds, it is a good topic to think about!

Supplying Your Classrooms

If you are a teacher or if you run a day care chances are you are having to consistently replace your supplies. You may just be looking for a change up in how you set your classroom. Children love coming into a classroom and finding new things to explore.

We have a large selection of child care and classroom equipment that will make your job easier. From a 5-Roll Paper Rack to a Multi-Section Storage set, you will certainly find something to fit in your classroom.

Right after I graduated from college I had trouble finding a job. My mom works in a school system and she suggested I do some substitute teaching to earn some money while I looked for a job. I did a lot of work with 3-5 year olds and saw first hand the kind of wear and tear young children put on a classroom. Their enthusiasm for playing and learning is contagious!

Finding affordable classroom and child care supplies is a must for any teacher or care giver. Providing kids with pretend play items and easy to reach items is a must to provide a great learning experience.

Taking a Circus Break

My hometown celebrates the Circus City Festival every year in July. There is an amateur circus that performs 11 shows in 10 days, and a street festival for 7 days. I grew up performing in the show and the circus is very close to my heart. All last week I was back in my hometown helping with the show. While my blogging hiatus to be at the circus was fun, I am happy to be back bringing you all of the latest news and insights into playgrounds.

Eli the Elephant Spring Rider
In keeping with the circus theme, we have several safari animal themed items. One of my favorites is Eli the Elephant Spring Rider. I absolutely love elephants! There is just something about them that I find wonderful and fascinating. This spring rider is sure to bring kids joy.

I invite all of you to journey to Peru, Indiana next July to visit the circus festival. Not only can you see an amazing show put on by kids ages 7-21, but you can also see exotic animals such as tigers and cougars. You can even take a ride on an elephant!

Guide for Buying Backyard Playground Slides

It becomes quite a difficult job for the parents to choose the backyard playground slides. Here are the certain things that you should consider while selecting the playground slides for your kids.

4 Foot Super Slide
When you will start looking for the residential slides, you will get to see different types of slides that include Twist & Shout, Rumble Seat, Tube, Spiral and Tunnel slides. First thing that you need to look for in the slide is its height. The height of the playground slides is the important factor. If your kid is below 5 years, you can choose to have an 8 ft. high slide for him but if your kids are above 5 years of age, go for 12 ft. high slide that can provide them the ultimate fun while sliding down.

The next thing that comes in the check list is the material used in designing the slides. Residential playground slides are usually made of plastic and metal. Plastic playground slides have some added advantage over metal slides. Plastic slides do not get corroded like metal slides. Also, the plastic slides are resistant to moisture, bacteria and moisture. Metal slides easily get heated up under the sun. Therefore, it is also advisable to parents to install plastic playground slides in their backyard.

Another important aspect that you should consider while purchasing the backyard playground slides is the safety. Before purchasing the slides, ensure that these are designed in compliance with safety measures.

Know About Recycled Rubber Mulch

Kids love to play, climb, jump and run freely in the playground. Kids can hurt themselves while playing on the rough surface. If you are also concerned about your kids’ safety, you must get recycled rubber mulch installed in the playground.

Recycled rubber mulch is the best option for surfacing kids’ playgrounds. Waste rubber, cycle tubes, van tires and rubber pipes tires are recycled to create the playground rubber mulch. In the recycling process, the waste rubber is shredded and de-vulcanized to make fresh rubber.

Recycled rubber mulch is resistant to impact. It gives kids a cushioning surface and eliminates the risk of any kind of injury. Recycled rubber mulch is also a great option for surfacing the playgrounds in the areas that receive high precipitation as it is also slip resistant and would protect the kids from sliding on a slick surface.

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the United States completely supports recycled rubber mulch as it does not allow the growth of the weed or fungi underneath, thus, helps in keeping in the environment clean and safe for children.

Recycled rubber mulch can be easily cleaned with mild soap and water. You can get the rubber mulch in a wide variety of colors and thickness at affordable prices.

Equipment Theft

As I was browsing the news I came across an article from SFist, a news blog covering San Francisco, about the theft of playground equipment. Sadly, this is nothing new. As metal prices go up, metal items from parks and playgrounds are often stolen so the thieves can sell the products.

This is why it is so important to secure your equipment to the surfaces of your areas. Surface and in-ground mounting are the two common options to achieve security.

Surface mounting is used to secure an item to the surface it is on. While it is a great option, in-ground mounting is definitely the way to go to ensure your items are safe. In-ground mounting may not always be available, depending on what your equipment is, or what your surface is. So if you can not use in-ground mounting, seriously consider a surface mount.

When in-ground mounting is available it is wise to choose that option. In-ground mounting secures your equipment below the surface, making it much harder to remove.

Always make sure that you have your equipment secured correctly in order to help prevent thefts. If you have already been a victim of a playground or park equipment theft, contact us today to see about replacements.

4th of July Traditions

Tomorrow is one of my favorite holidays.. the 4th of July! For as long as I can remember my family has gotten together for a big cook out. We would play games like volleyball, horseshoes, corn hole and even some yard baseball. The night would always end with my dad, grandpa, and uncle lighting up an impressive display of fireworks!

This year is the first year that we aren't having that big party. Fireworks are banned in my home county due to the lack of rain and with the holiday falling on a Wednesday the adults still have to go to work Thursday.

I am left with finding something else to do.. Starting a new tradition. In just under two months I'll be married and it is important for  us to start family traditions of our own. And while I will definitely miss heading to my grandma's house for the big cook out, it will be neat to start something myself.

Do you have any neat traditions for this summer holiday? If you don't, think about starting one. It is the perfect holiday to spend all day outside.

Have a safe and happy 4th of July!

Why is it Important for your Kids to Play Outside?

Kids don't want to go outside when they are busy playing with PSPs and computer games. But if you want to keep them active and healthy, take the kids to the playground regularly. They will love playing with their friends and explore new stuff. Kids are full of energy and it is your job to make them utilize it in right things, which is beneficial for them.

Water Play Rubber Surface
Children become physically fit and master the skills that cannot be developed at home. Activities like running around, jumping rope, trying hand at play sets keeps them active. Studies have showed that children who play regularly outside are fitter and healthier than the kids who stay inside.

Interacting with other children also increases the confidence level in them. They learn to cooperate with each other while playing on the same playground equipment. The play sets installed in outdoor playground should be suited for the kids and must comply with necessary safety measures and quality standards.

You can choose the playing equipment for the community, school or church playgrounds from AAA State of Play. We have different kinds of playground equipment that meets National Safety Standards including CPSC guidelines as dictated by ASTM F 1487-01.
